ICF/Monsignor Peter Mimnagh Scholarship

Given by the Italian Catholic Federation Branch 246

 

This scholarship is given to honor the memory of Msgr. Mimnagh, former pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Church from 1968 to 1992, whose dedication, love, gentleness, and concern for all will live forever in the hearts of the parishioners.  When the Dominican Sisters left our parish, Msgr. Mimnagh went to Ireland and persuaded the wonderful Sisters of Mercy to come to St. Vincent's to keep our school open.

 

 

Dear Applicant,

 

Thank you for your interest in the ICF/Monsignor Peter Mimnagh Scholarship.  In this packet you will find an application form and a blank form on which to write your essay.  Here’s what you will need to make your application complete:

 

• A completed application form.
• An essay form which will help the scholarship committee get to know a little bit more about you.

 

In the selection process the committee uses information about academic achievement and volunteer activities as well as how your faith interacts in your personal, family, and community life.

 

Your completed application is due by JUNE 1st .  Late applications will not be accepted.

Send or bring your completed application to the Parish Office (located behind the Altar towards Childrens Chapel).

The scholarship winner(s) will be announced June 15th.  The winners and their families will be invited to a regular dinner meeting of the Italian Catholic Federation in September to receive their award.
