VIKINGS RISE TO THE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD CHALLEGE!!!!!

On Saturday, February 6th 39 of our middle school students (and their parents!) awoke before dawn and braved the rain for the 26th annual San Diego Regional Science Olympiad Competition. Our region is by far the largest in the entire country and the competition is fierce. Seventy-four teams representing twenty-three schools were present for the competition that began at 7:15am and ended at 2:15pm. St. Vincent's was one of the smaller schools at the competition and the only Catholic school present. Last year, we placed three times and our school was 15th overall. This year, our students placed in the top twenty ten times and earned 12th place overall! It was a day of perseverance, spirit, science, and of course, fun! Every student on the team contributed to our school's success, and every student should be proud of our accomplishments. Thank you so much to all of the parents, families, and coaches who helped us along the way. Congratulations, Vikings!
