Principal’s Corner #145


Our prayers and good wishes go out to Father Dolan who has accepted the responsibility of shepherding the People of God in the Diocese of San Diego as the Auxiliary Bishop. His new assignment brings him great joy, responsibility and sacrifice.

The Estrada Family thanks our SVS Family for all the love and support they received during their recent loss. Our Jeans Day Project brought in $1830.00. The family appreciates our generosity. Let us continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you dear parents for sending in your registration for the 2017-18 school year. I still have some spots to fill in the primary grades. Our sixth graders reported that they really enjoyed their camp experience. My appreciation to Ms. Coito and Mrs. Kerr for supervising.

I appreciated being remembered on my birthday and I enjoyed the many expressions of love and appreciation.

May 14Mother’s Day Mass and May Crowning

We are making this 8:45a mass our Family Mass Sunday. Let us make this a beautiful Eucharistic Celebration and honor the Mother of Jesus and our moms, grandmothers, and all we call mother. (Sunday, May 21st will not be a Family Mass Sunday).

May 19Field Day – make sure your student turns in his/her permission slip. (The teacher must have it on file for your student to go to the field). Vegas Nights in the church hall @ 6p. The profit goes to provide additional funds for our Sports Program. Thanks to Antoinette Kinley for making this event happen. Please come out and support the event. It will be tons of fun!
May 20 – First Communion Day @ 11a for our lovely Second Graders and our Religious Education Students
August 22 – First Day of School 2017-2018 School Year

4th Annual Orson Alvarez Golf Tournament – May 12th

All Parents, Coaches, Students, Athletes, Teachers, Staff, Family, Friends, Alumni, Parishioners and Guests are invited to participate in our golf tournament for amateurs, beginners & first-time golfers to support the Vikings Sports Program and enjoy an afternoon of golf with family & friends.

Field Day – May 19th

Volunteers are still Needed!

Our Annual St. Vincent Field Day is THIS Friday, May 19th and we still need lots of volunteers to make this day a success! We need volunteers for transporting the Field Day supplies to and from Admiral Baker Field; set up of the event; running Field Day activities; and clean-up at the end of the event. We are using for you to easily volunteer for field day 2017!

Field Day Pizza Hot Lunch Fundraiser

The Incoming 8th Grade Class of 2018 is offering a Pizza Hot Lunch for sale to all students and family members. Please sign up by filing out the below Hot Lunch Form and send in your payment to your student’s classroom. The Lunch Cost is $5.00/lunch (An extra slice of pizza is available for $1.00/slice). Lunch includes 1 Slice of Pizza (Cheese or Pepperoni), Fruit, Cookie, and Water. All orders for the Pizza Hot Lunch must be received no later than Wednesday, May 17th. No Late Orders or Same Day Orders will be able to be accepted. Thank you for supporting the Class of 2018!

10th Annual Jog-a-thon – October 2017

The 10th Annual Jog-a-thon is coming in October so it is time for the Spring JAT t-shirt design contest! Designs are due to your teacher on May 12th. The winner will be announced during Spirit Week. Click here for the JAT form.
